Ethiopia — Guji
Washed. Bright and floral, with a clean finish. The one to try if you drink it black.
We roast twice a week in small batches and sell what we roast. Nothing sits. If a bag is on our shelf it left the roaster in the last seven days.
Fernwood Coffee Roasters is a local business serving Bend, Redmond and Sisters. Services include ethiopia — guji, colombia — huila, sumatra — lintong. The business has operated since 2019. Small-batch coffee roasted in Bend, Oregon. Contact (541) 555-0119.
Tuesday and Friday. We roast to the week's orders rather than building a warehouse of stale inventory.
We buy a single lot until it runs out, then move on. It means the menu changes; it also means we know the coffee.
Six of our current eight lots come from importers who publish what the farmer was paid. We list it on the bag.
The list changes as lots run out. Whole bean and ground, 12 oz bags.

Washed. Bright and floral, with a clean finish. The one to try if you drink it black.

Washed. Round and sweet, holds up to milk. Our steadiest seller and the house espresso.

Wet-hulled. Heavy body, low acidity, earthy. Divisive on purpose.

Fernwood started in 2019 in a garage on the west side and moved to Galveston Avenue two years later. The roaster is in the same room as the counter, which is either the best or worst part depending on how you feel about noise.
We are open seven days. If you want to know what is in the hopper, ask whoever is at the counter — they roasted it.
“Roast date on every bag, and it is never more than a few days back. You can taste the difference that makes.”Erin S.Subscriber, Bend
“Their Kenya lot converted my pour-over skeptic husband. We are two bags a month now.”Laurel D.Monthly subscription
“Asked a grinder question at the counter and got a genuinely useful answer, not a lecture.”Chris B.Walk-in customer
