How we run it

Three rules we do not bend.

Six people, maximum

Not eight when it is busy. If the class is full it is full — that cap is the entire reason the instruction is any good.

Every class is scaled

You get the version of the movement that fits your body today. Nobody is asked to push through something that hurts.

Cancel up to two hours before

Life happens. Cancel two hours out and the credit goes straight back, no phone call and no penalty.

The reception area of a small modern movement studio
The studio

One room, good light, no mirrors.

Meridian is a single room on Rampart with six reformers and a lot of window. We left the mirrors out on purpose — the point is how a movement feels, not how it looks.

Every instructor here is comprehensively certified and has taught for at least five years. You will get the same two or three people every week, and they will remember what you are working on.

  • Six students per class, always
  • Comprehensively certified instructors
  • First class is free, no card required
  • Two-hour cancellation window

Before you come

The things people ask.

I have never done pilates. Is that a problem?

No, and it is the most common way people start. Tell us at booking and the instructor will build the class around the fact that you are new. Nobody will single you out.

What should I wear and bring?

Fitted clothing you can move in, and grip socks — we sell them at the desk if you forget. Everything else is here.

I have an injury. Can I still come?

Usually yes, and a private session first is the right way in. Bring whatever your physio or doctor has told you and we will work within it.

How far ahead do classes fill?

Mornings go about a week out, midday is usually open the day before. Class credits never expire, so booking ahead costs you nothing.

First class is free.

No card, no package, no conversation about signing up. Come once and decide.
